Montessori Education: A Personalized Learning Journey
The International Montessori School (IMS) is dedicated to providing a unique Montessori education in a bilingual environment. Our doors are open, inviting families to join us in Sotogrande for an enriching experience that fosters curiosity, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
The benefits of Montessori education.
- Individualized learning:Montessori education recognizes that each child learns at his or her own pace and in a unique way. Our classrooms are designed to address individual needs, allowing each student to progress according to their abilities and interests.
- Practical learning:Through hands-on materials and experiential activities, Montessori students engage all of their senses in the learning process. This approach fosters a deeper understanding of concepts and encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Promotion of Independence:Montessori classrooms are carefully prepared environments where children can make decisions and take ownership of their learning. This cultivates self-confidence, autonomy and a sense of responsibility from an early age.
- Holistic Development:Montessori education emphasizes the comprehensive development of the child: academic, social, emotional and basic. By addressing all aspects of a child’s growth, we develop well-rounded people who are prepared to thrive in the world.

The Children’s Community cultivates independence and social skills through hands-on activities and collaborative games, laying the foundation for future learning.

Children’s home 1: (3-6 years)
At the Children’s Home, children engage in self-directed learning, discovering their interests and passions while developing essential academic and life skills.

Our Primary 1 program offers a dynamic curriculum tailored to each child’s unique abilities, encouraging critical thinking, creativity and a love of learning.
